Hello All,

April 8th-10th is Beaver Day.  Beaver day is when we go to Boxwell Reservation and help prepare the camp for Summer Camp.

This is a great first campout for new scouts.

Summer Camp Registration

Good morning all,
Summer camp registration is kicking off on Tuesday March 1st. This is a bit earlier than we expected, so I apologize for the short notice.
Below will be the link to the leaders guide for summer camp. Page 29 begins the merit badge program. If you cannot get the link to work, go to the Middle Tennessee Council webpage and look for summer camp under the camping tab. The links are also on the troop webpage.

Scouts need to select classes and using the attached form and bring with them on Monday. You may turn your form in directly to Mrs. DeGennaro if you are certain of your class selection, or you may work on class selection during advancement time.
Last, please bring your first aid kit you take when camping. We will review what each person has in patrol time, and know we are prepared for the upcoming camping season.

You can start checking on classes your scout will want to take this summer now and have a head start on his schedule when we have our summer camp kick off coming up soon. Class schedule is on pages 29-32.

Florida Seabase Trip

We have one to six spots left open for a high adventure trip to Seabase this year. The trip dates will be Saturday October 1st to Friday October 7th. The fee to the base is $835.00. $100 will be due once the scout and parent commit to the trip. This fee is non refundable. Expenses to get to and from the Florida keys will be additional. Once we have the crew set, we will be able to determine travel plans. If interested, you can email me or we will have some time to discuss it during the meeting. Scouts need to be 14 by the time of the trip to attend.

A Few Announcements

There are some announcements we need to send out since we did not get the opportunity to meet last week. I will bullet point them below.
Little Caesar Pizza forms. We have started selling Little Caesar pizza kits. The funds from the sale go directly to the scouts account. Mrs. Endsley indicated in her email she would be at the scout church this evening from 630 to 7pm if anyone wanted forms this week. Deadline to turn in is February 29th.
Also we will be selling camp cards soon. Please be on the lookout for that communication coming out soon.
 Sign up Genius will go out today for the Natchez Trace Campout. We ask everyone respond no later than the 29th, if you are coming or not. This will be a one night trip to Meriwether Lewis Campground. We will meet Saturday morning and return Sunday.
Going forward, we will not ask if anyone has an announcement during meetings. If you have something that needs to be communicated please send it to Brandon Sudbury @ seniorpatrol0422@gmail.com and myself by Thursday each week. We will get them added to the parent flyer for each Monday’s meeting.
Hopefully you all have seen emails from the scout leadership in the troop. We are using this to hopefully make communication easier within the patrols.
For adults, University of Scouting is March 19th. Deadline to register is March 7th
We have added Advancement Time at the end of each meeting. This gives scouts the opportunity to get items signed off in their book or merit badge time with a counselor each week if it cannot be done during a meeting.

Swim Test dates

Scouts, Swim tests will be held on March 7th and 14th.  If you plan to attend Summer Camp you need to have this Swim test done.  Please plan now to attend, will be held at Lavergne High School near Academy in Smyrna.
