On Saturday, February 17, 2007, Joshua Michael Hodges was awarded the Eagle Badge, Boy Scouting’s highest honor. At his Eagle Court of Honor at Stewarts Creek Church of Christ, Joshua was presented the Eagle badge by his former scoutmaster, Stanley Dunn. The Eagle Charge was made by Eagle Scout Daniel Necessary.
Josh is the son of Michael and Dianna Hodges. He was born on September 12, 1988 in Nashville, TN. He is the grandson of Larry and Patty Evilcizer, Barbara Hodges, and the late Paul Hodges. Josh is a junior at LaVergne High School, where he is on the Bowling team and is active in Future Business Leaders of America. He is a member of Springfield First Church of the Nazarene.
Josh joined Cub Scout Pack 842 in the first grade in September 1995 as a Tiger Cub and finished as a Webelos scout, earning all the activity pins and the Arrow of Light. He joined Troop 422 in March 2000. He has earned 27 merit badges and served as Historian, Librarian, and Patrol Leader. He is a member of the Order of the Arrow.
Josh’s Eagle Scout Service Project was to build a bird blind at Sharp Springs City Park in Smyrna.
Josh is the twenty-fourth Boy Scout awarded the rank of Eagle Scout from Troop 422. He and his family would like to thank the leaders of Troop 422 for their countless hours spent developing the character of these young men.
