At our Mon. night (3/12) meeting Officer Potts,spoke to our troop. He is a ten year Smyrna police veteran and now a D.A R.E. Officer. He talked to us about people who use drugs and how they steal to buy them. He also talked about gangs. There was a question and answer time. We were told to make good decisions in life and to not use drugs.

The Cobra patrol hosted a bike ride for the Cycling Merit badge. We met at Sharp Springs Park at 2:30 (ed. note: on Sunday afternoon 3/11).  We went from the entrance of the park to the Taco Bell on Lowry St. and back to the park, a total of 16.5 miles. Some of the scouts discussed the parts of a bike and how to care for your bike.
