The scouts, leaders, and parents of Troop 422 visited this past Saturday (December 22) with the residents of the Bethany Health Care Center in Nashville. This annual tradition, dating back for the last six years, is the highlight of the troop’s holiday celebration. Accompanied by scout Luke on guitar, the troop sang a collection of Christmas standards while scouts delivered gifts to each of the residents. Santa Claus made time in his busy holiday schedule to personally visit with each of the residents. For many at the health center, this was their Christmas Day, and everyone was filled with joy helping spread the Christmas cheer.
The troop would like to thank Bethany’s Activities Director, Kathy Herod, for inviting the scouts to participate. Kathy, who is also one of the founding leaders of Troop 422, is a nineteen year Scout Leader with three sons who are Eagle scouts.
