Cobra Patrol at Old Stone Fort

On the weekend of March 3 – 5, 2007, the scouts of Troop 422 camped at Old Stone Fort State Park outside of Manchester, Tennessee. A State Archaeological Park dedicated to the study of the Native American Old Stone Fort structure, the park provided a perfect background for the Cobra and Pine Tree patrols to earn the Indian Lore merit badge. Among the tasks the scouts did to earn the badge, both patrols constructed lean-to shelters using only material that could be easily gathered from the surrounding area.

Below are additional photos, focusing on the activities of our newer scouts of the Cobra Patrol.
