Scouts March in Smyrna Christmas Parade 2006

As a part of the troop’s Christmas traditions, on a warm Sunday afternoon (December 10, 2006) the scouts of Troop 422 marched in the annual Smyrna Christmas Parade.  Meeting at the Mayfield Soccer Park, the scouts decorated the troop trailer in festive garlands and bows.

The parade was led by the Smyrna High School Football Team, this year’s Division 5A State Champions.  It began on South Lowry Street at Mayfield Drive and continued northwest through downtown to Nolan Drive, ending at the Rec Park on Sam Ridley Parkway.  As they paraded, the scouts distributed hard candy to children along the parade route.

Several of the troop’s scouts marched as a part of the Smyrna or LaVergne High School marching bands.
